Prim & Mendheim, LLC currently consists of four total attorneys, H. Samuel Prim, III, R. Cliff Mendheim, Lauren Donaldson and Morgan Hoggle. Sam and Cliff, the majority partners in the law firm, have over 40 combined years of legal experience. Both attorneys were born and raised in Dothan having graduated from Northview High School together in 1993. They also attended law school together at the University of Alabama School of Law graduating and attaining their juris doctors in 2000. Following their graduation, both immediately returned to Dothan to begin their legal careers and have been practicing based out of Dothan since then. Because of their strong and lengthy ties to the Dothan community, both of our attorneys view their profession as an extension of a deep seated commitment to foster positive growth and reform in Dothan. As such, our attorneys are active in many different local charity organizations, they are devoted family men, and they are zealous advocates for their clients.

R. Cliff Mendheim

R. Cliff Mendheim is a native of Dothan, Alabama, who attended the University of Alabama graduating cum laude in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama, School of Law in 2000. Immediately following his graduation, Cliff returned to Dothan to begin his legal career. Cliff has served as the managing partner at Prim & Mendheim, LLC since its formation in 2006.

Cliff’s primary areas of practice include Consumer and Commercial Debt Collection, Real Estate Closings and Litigation, Business Law, Probate and Estate Administration, and General Civil Litigation including Personal Injury, Fraud and Wrongful Death.

Cliff is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Tennessee State Bar, Houston County Bar Association, General Bar, American Collections Association, Commercial Law League of America, International Association of Commercial Collectors and the National List of Attorneys. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors for Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center, Inc., and the Wiregrass Area United Way, Inc. He is past president and a current board member of the Houston-Henry County University of Alabama Alumni Association. He also currently serves as a Board Member on the Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority and is a past chairman of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce. He and his family are active members of First United Methodist Church.

Cliff is married to the former Helen Roton of Montgomery, Alabama and they are the parents of three daughters: Sims, Mary Helen, and Campbell.
