R. Cliff Mendheim

R. Cliff Mendheim is a native of Dothan, Alabama, who attended the University

of Alabama graduating cum laude in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama, School of Law in 2000. Immediately following his graduation, Cliff returned to Dothan to begin his legal career. Cliff has served as the managing partner at Prim & Mendheim, LLC, since its formation in 2006. Cliff’s primary areas of practice include Consumer and Commercial Debt Collection, Real Estate Closings and Litigation, Business Law, Probate and Estate Administration, and General Civil Litigation including Personal Injury, Fraud and Wrongful Death. Cliff is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Tennessee State Bar, Houston County Bar Association, General Bar, American Collections Association, Commercial Law League of America, International Association of Commercial Collectors and the National List of Attorneys. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors for Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center, Inc., and the Wiregrass Area United Way, Inc. He is past president and a current board member of the Houston-Henry County University of Alabama Alumni Association.

 

He also currently serves as a Board Member on the Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority and is a past chairman of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce. Cliff previously participated in the Alabama State Bar Class 9 Leadership Forum in 2013 as well as Leadership Alabama Class XXIX in 2019. He has also served as a Bar Commissioner for the 20th Judicial Circuit with the Alabama State Bar since 2014 and is the current Chairman of the MCLE Commission. He and his family are active members of First United Methodist Church. Cliff is married to the former Helen Roton of Montgomery, Alabama and they are the parents of three daughters: Sims, Mary Helen, and Campbell.
